Black pants, brown shoes?

Today Wolfmother played a secret show at the Roxy on Sunset in West Hollywood.  Singer Andrew Stockdale was wearing black skinny jeans, a black t-shirt, and greyish vest with brown boots.  Andrew therefore answered the age old dilemma of whether or not it is acceptable to wear brown shoes with a black outfit. So I guess it is ok to wear black pants with brown shoes, at least if you're a rockstar.
